Hey y’all. So I’ve started a new Tumblr called ‘Name that film’ where I post screencaps and you have to guess what the movie they’re from. I was gonna wait till I’d designed a theme for it, but I’m uber busy at the moment, so fuck it. I’ll do it later. You can either reblog the screencap with an answer or click on the post link and comment on it. A few people have answered correctly so far, I think I’ve only posted 20 or so movies. I’m gonna try and throw in some really obscure ones to keep you guessing. Correct answers get fuck all really, so maybe naming the film and the character (where applicable) will get you a blowie or summin’? We’ll talk about it later….
chuckmore: I forget who originally said this, but someone once said that if you ever see a guy wearing leather pants, you know that guy has no true friends, because if he did, they would have told him to take the leather pants off because he looks totally stupid in them.

Remember the Zambeshe’s? Apparently my truly, deeply, OFFENSIVE bloggery fucked them off like you wouldn’t believe. So, today, on the front-page of Viva Magazine, I find the Zambeshe’s: “Are you being served? Shop assistants have feelings too”. No shit , it’s online too. (tumblr’s - picture is in post)
Too. Fuckin. Funny.
“Saintly patience is obviously on the requirement list for potential Zambesi employees, despite what local bloggers have been saying about them recently.”
Honestly, I didn’t say anything that offensive (Dean did). I can’t believe how seriously they take themselves. If you love the job you’re in then why would you be so insecure about it? Besides, I actually wasn’t mocking their jobs, I was mocking the way they talk. Babe.

See now, I’m not an overtly gay person. I’m not limp wristed and I don’t air kiss. In fact, I’m a pretty unaffectionate person. My daddy never hugged me (he’s in a coma). It wasn’t until me and my friend Alex began to have increasing contact with the Zambeshes* (more so much him than me) - who talk really really gay. Referring to one another as the opposite gender, and/or ‘babe’. E.G. “She’s carrying holiday weight dontchathink, baaaaaabe”. Me and A thought this was hilarious and completely ridiculous, so of course started taking the piss. Slowly but surely, the dialect began to catch on, and we found ourselves using every part of their lingo - most devastatingly - “Caaaamp”.
“Camp” proved itself to actually be quite useful in describing things that were both ‘cool/exciting/fun/colourful” and equally “Ironic/ridiculous/pitiful/and really really gay/awful”.
So I introduce to you: ‘Faggotry’. A group I have created within Tumblr, a sub-group of Extra Firm Hold, and home to all things bad / colourful / exciting / depressing / camp.
* A very hostile species of gay, that work in or around the Zambesi fashion label store - prone to dance ironically but not really ironically on the dance-floor. Come in variations of black: jet black, glamour black and off black.
While I’d thought long and hard about the ramifications of adding commenting to this blog, and breaking my ‘stream of consciousness’. I concluded: Fuck it. It was easy to plug in, so why the hell not.
Meanwhile, my effing laptop has packed it in and won’t even boot up - so I’m now using my work laptop at home. Also, thank-you customer support person ‘Ari’ for reminding me four times over that my warranty has expired (you’re expired).
I’m going to have to take it to Mt Wellington to get it fixed. Did you know people GET SHOT in Mt Wellington? Well, no they don’t - BUT IT LOOKS LIKE YOU COULD

Hey y’all. I finally got round to customizing this gosh darn blog. I’d done a little bit here and there earlier, music feeds, text adjustments blah blah. But I had always planned on skinning it myself at one point. However I did become accustomed to the standard Tumblr theme that I picked in the beginning. It was pretty sexy. I decided to keep a few aspects of it: Left alignment, width, text styles etc. Besides it makes my life easier. Anyways, whilst i’m finished for the most part, there’s a couple of other things I still want to do. But now that the majority of the changes are done, the little things can be done in small sporadic updates. Hoorah! More than anything, I am astounded at my achievement of actually doing web build outside of work - Now that takes motivation. I’ve earned myself some BK, me thinks.
